October 12 Bird Outing

Our day began with my launching of our website Tactical Birding almost a month in the making, decided to just get it launched for it seems it will be lots of work and I might as well have it up and running while I finish everything that I would like to do on it.

We got up and fed our flack yes I said flack our flock and our pack= flack then off to our favorite coffee stop,The Human Bean then we heading to our meeting stop for our scheduled bird outing with the Aiken Audubon Society. Thanks to them for doing these events! We met and headed to Lake George where we spent the morning looking at a lot of different ducks I believe we counted on global counting day by the way 24 species.I saw 21 of those and after that event was over we headed to Antero Reservior where we saw a handful or so more.My favorites today were the Bufflehead and the American Widgeon. His was the Bufflehead,Eagle,Rock Pigeon and the American Widgeon. We also saw a very large eagles nest, boy that eagle sure caused a frenzy for those ducks when he flew over.It was a beautiful day out,the Lord sure was good to us today!

After the days adventure back home to the sounds of parrots and a much needed restful afternoon. Thanks to those today who helped us and led the group, their knowledge and kindness was much appreciated.
